Grease plays an important role in extending the production and service life of machinery. To increase the life of the equipment and operational reliability, proper greasing and maintenance through industrial grease are necessary.
With the question of greasing the wheel bearing, the answer is always a resounding yes. In fact, applying grease on wheel bearing provides lubrication and averts corrosion. Without greasing, the bearing and the housing can rust, and this will impact the bearing’s function.
This is where Delo Starplex® EP will make a difference. It is a premium, multipurpose automotive and industrial EP grease containing an ISO 220 mineral base oil, a lithium complex thickener, EP additives, rust and oxidation inhibitors and tackiness additives. Dark red in colour, this high-performance multi-purpose automotive and industrial EP grease can save on maintenance costs. Its effective EP additive protects against bearing wear under severe conditions and shock loading. Delo Starplex® EP minimises downtime. Its high dropping point reduces leakage from bearings at high temperatures and superb oxidation resistance ensures long grease life. Moreover, the inherent water-resistance of the lithium complex thickener, in combination with the additional tackiness additive, averts water washout. This high-performance industrial EP grease also reduces inventory costs. Its multipurpose capability allows use in a wide range of automotive and industrial applications, decreasing the number of different greases required and preventing product misapplication.
Delo Starplex® EP is appropriate for automotive wheel bearings and chassis lubrication; on- and off-highway applications; construction equipment; agricultural tractors; heavy-duty transport; and a wide range of general industrial greasing. Its usable temperature range in continuous service includes -30 to 130°C (Delo Starplex EP 2), and -20 to 130°C (Delo Starplex EP 3) while the maximum temperature for short term exposure is 220°C. Moreover, Delo Starplex EP has the approval from NLGI Service Category GC-LB (NLGI 2) as well as Volvo Standard STD 1277,2 (NLGI 2).
